Riad Hamai wins Directed Verdict in Civil Court, Queens County

After our motion for summary judgment was denied as the Court found issues of fact existed and following a liability trial before a jury, Riad Hamai was granted a directed verdict by Judge Katsanos in Civil Court, Queens County in connection with a case involving a pedestrian knockdown by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian plaintiff had subsequently died (death was unrelated to the accident) and our client had testified that neither he nor his vehicle had any involvement with the subject accident as he was not the operator nor owner of the vehicle involved.
