Practice Areas: New York Labor Law, Property Damage, Construction Defect, Errors and Omissions, Premises Liability and General Negligence.

Prior to joining Hannum Feretic Prendergast & Merlino, LLC, Mr. Stimpfl worked as a litigation associate at two statewide law firms based on Long Island, where he represented residential and commercial property owners, general contractors, construction managers and subcontractors in a wide variety of litigations including labor law, construction defect and property damage claims. He also analyzed and litigated complex insurance coverage issues related to commercial general liability and excess insurance policies. Mr. Stimpfl has also represented school districts and municipalities throughout Suffolk County involving premises liability and general negligence claims.  Mr. Stimpfl gained invaluable courthouse experience working as a summer law clerk in New York State Supreme Court, Suffolk County. He also developed and honed his litigation skills during his internship with the Huntington Town Attorney’s Office as well as his externship with Nassau County District Attorney’s Office in the Organized Crime and Racketeering Bureau.  Mr. Stimpfl graduated from Stony Brook University summa cum laude and Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. At Touro, he served as a staff member of the International Law Review and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Society. While attending law school, he earned several honors and awards including Dean’s List and multiple CALI Awards for Academic Excellence.  Mr. Stimpfl is admitted to practice law in the State of New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York as well as and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  Mr. Stimpfl is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
