Joseph J. Accurso, Associate
Joseph Accurso obtained his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2017 and his Bachelors of Social and Behavioral Science in Criminal Justice from Marist College. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Accurso worked with the New York City Business Integrity Commission, as a New York City Social Justice Post-Graduate Fellow, where he assisted in regulating the public wholesale markets, the trade waste and shipboard gambling industries.
During his time as a law student, Mr. Accurso held a judicial internship with the Honorable Debra Freeman of the Southern District of New York. Additionally, Mr. Accurso interned with the New York State Attorney General’s Office and the Nassau County Attorney’s Office where he handled Section 1983 and General Municipal Liability cases defending New York State correction officers and Nassau County police officers against assault and various other tortious claims. Finally, Mr. Accurso interned with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor for the City of New York and the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.
